Refine Kansas City

He attended the University of San Diego, where he and the Toreros reached the Elite 8 his senior year and won the WCC Title twice. The Overland Park native enjoyed a nine-year playing career in MLS and the USL Championship (2013–2021), including two seasons with Sporting KC and two spells as captain of Sporting KC II. A 2013 MLS Cup champion, he later led SKC II to consecutive USL Western Conference championships in 2016 and 2017. Before retiring he coached at Sporting Blue Valley and assisted at Sporting KC Academy, beginning private training in early 2022.

Born in California and raised in Overland Park, Kyle has played since age 4. He developed at Sporting Blue Valley, won two state titles at St. Thomas Aquinas, then started over 80 games at Rockhurst University, leading them to an Elite 8. Selected in the 3rd round of the 2012 MLS Draft by Sporting KC — where he scored against Stoke City — he later played in the USL and NASL. Kyle has coached U11–U17 club teams in OKC, Atlanta, and KC and has been a leading technical trainer for over 10 years.

Coach Mikey joined Refine in 2023. Born in Weston, Florida, he developed in the Weston FC Development Academy before moving to KC in 2017 to join Sporting Kansas City's youth academy. He played four seasons with Sporting KC II in the USL Championship and MLS NEXT Pro before joining the Missouri Comets professional indoor team as a midfielder, and has received call-ups to U.S. Youth National Team camps.

A former Division I player at the University of San Diego, Leigh Ann enjoyed nearly a decade as a professional in the NWSL, winning back-to-back national championships with FC Kansas City and earning two caps with the USWNT. She spent eight years as a Division I collegiate coach and has relocated to KC to work with Refine's athletes.

Coach Phillip joined Refine in 2023. Born in Minneapolis, he moved to São Paulo, Brazil as a youth to join Nacional Atlético Clube's academy. He returned to the U.S. in 2019 to sign with LAFC, later playing in the USL Championship, USL League One, and MLS NEXT Pro. He's currently a goalkeeper for the Missouri Comets and assistant coach at Baker University and Park Hill High School.

Coach Miles joined Refine in 2022. A KC native, he played club soccer with Kansas City FC and KC Soccer Club and was a four-year varsity letterman at Rockhurst High School, then played at Blue River Community College. He is a team coach and Goalkeeping Director for Fountain City FC and a goalkeeper coach with Kansas ODP.

Coach Kaira joined Refine in early 2022. Born in Emporia and raised in Topeka, she starred at Washburn Rural and earned a scholarship to Creighton, lettering four years. She has played professionally in Israel and Ecuador and is a current member of the Ecuador National Team. She works for U.S. Soccer at the National Development Center in KC.

Coach Kevin joined Refine in 2024. Born and raised in Budapest, Hungary, he was a five-year member of Puskás Akadémia Felcsút, helping win championships at three age levels (U-17/U-18/U-19). He went on to play two seasons at UMKC before finishing his collegiate career at Saint Louis University.
